After travelling Canada and the USA for the past year and a half I returned to England in January, travel fatigued and cold, excited to be somewhere I could stay indefinitely. In the frosty weeks that followed, I found a van and with the help of my partner, converted it into something that feels homey, our own little sanctuary on wheels.
Then in March after a brief holiday to Morocco and quick trip to Portugal (just can’t help myself) I moved to Cornwall. A place high in my affections and always at the back of my mind as somewhere to delve deeper, arriving here felt like the only natural thing to do. It is always very clear when something is right, it’s an intuitive nod, a feeling of ease. A longing to lay down some roots has been drumming away for a while, the exciting thrill of travel not filling my cup in the same way it has done in the past.
I love that we change. I love that I want different things now.
So this past month has seen me bouncing around the county, staying in different villages and dwellings from a farm house on the moor to a tiny home by the ocean. It feels wonderful to be on an adventure but in my home country. Open to all possibility’s and excited to see how it all unfurls.
In my art world, I went on a watercolour retreat which was really invigorating and made me feel so passionate about making art and exploring new mediums. I will be sharing more watercolour pieces here on substack.
I have had the pleasure of working with some lovely brands to create logos. I have a few availabilities for commissions so if you’d like a logo for your business, book cover, website art or an artwork for a loved one, feel free to reach out.
I have a new deck, Intention Magic, which I have been working with a lot. I haven’t shared too much about this deck because somehow I want to let her speak for herself and be found by those who are meant to … if you have got your hands on one of these already, I’m excited for you!
Over the next few months I will be releasing more astrology artwork as prints. The planets and four asteroids, each portrayed as a goddess and embodying the traits of her celestial body. Here’s a little sneak peak of what’s to come… (can’t wait to show you more!!)
I’m really loving substack as a place to share. Despite most of my online energy being spent on instagram over the past several years and for which I am grateful to have grown a large audience, I am feeling more and more comfortable here in this space which allows for more mindful, long form sharing. I will be here more frequently with deeper and more personal pieces, writing, artwork.
So thank you for being here. Take care, enjoy the spring, (or autumn for my southern hemisphere friends) and let things unfurl.
Love Tarn 🌸✨
So beautiful and inspiring!
Aw, makes me miss my van days!
